Donation Funds New Class Room

We were contacted recently by the family and friends of Simon Baldwin, who was a massive car enthusiast, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in February 2011. They wanted a positive way to remember Simon.

They decided to collect money in Simon’s memory and have donated over £3,000 to STRIDE to fund the refurbishment of the new classroom. The STRIDE Learning Centre, built with the latest technology will be used to teach our trainees and apprentices, and is dedicated to the memory of Simon and his passion for cars.

The Classroom is now open following the opening on Tuesday the 19th of July 2011.

Simon was a very talented (self-taught) motor mechanic and his family and friends are very pleased that they have been able to fund the new classroom to help more students follow in Simon’s passion for repairing and restoring the cars he loved.

The classroom has had a full overhaul; including:

Fully redecorated
New Carpet
New Electrics and Data Points for a small computer suite
State of the art interactive Whiteboard & Speaker system
High Spec Laptop to deliver the training from.

This extremely generous donation has given us the opportunity to help young talented students follow their dreams and their passion for Cars, like Simon did. There is no doubt that the Apprentices will benefit from this grand gesture. STRIDE and the apprentices cannot thank you enough
